Every quilter loves a good quilt show and what makes a good quilt show great is the dedication of the volunteers who put it together!  Red River Quilters produces an annual quilt show in conjunction with the Red River Revel Arts Festival.  There are lots of ways to participate:

 

·   Join the planning committee (meets monthly during the year)

·  Help with set-up/takedown the weekend of the show

·   Volunteer during the show (from “white gloving” to ticket sales to door greeters, there’s a place for your talents) 

 

And most of all, enter your quilts!  All members are encouraged to submit their quilts.  Nervous about having your work judged by a professional quilt show judge?  Simply skip reading the critique sheet.  A quilt show is really like a huge “Show & Tell”.  Think of your quilt inspiring someone else to go home and start sewing.  What better compliment could there be?
